This is a great write up of skiing in Hokkaido, the northernmost of Japan’s main islands. I’ve been a few times and it’s frick’n awesome – especially if you visit during the Sapporo Snow Festival that’s held in late January, early February every year.
Snow, huge bowls of ramen, sake and good times. I’m looking forward to returning.
