We just finished an epic 4-week road-trip around Devon, Cornwall and Somerset in the U.K.
Here are some of our favourite things we got to check out and experience on the trip:
- The hike between Branscombe and Beer – This area is stunning
- Lyme Regis beach area – The kids loved playing in the sand
- Fortis Clothing – A great local apparel shop. They have multiple locations across the west of England
- Coffee Factory – Excellent coffee roasters in Axminster
- Millers Farm Shop – An awesome farm shop near Axminster with an amazing selection of Bordeaux reds
- Pullo – A wine shop in Exeter that specialises in natural wines
- Castle Drogo – A stunning castle surrounded by beautiful woodlands and walks
- Shoals – A low-key seafood restaurant in Brixham that blew our minds away (well worth a detour)
- Lappa Valley – Steam trains and lots of activities for the kids in Cornwall (our kids loved it!)
- Polzeath Beach – The best beach we visited on this trip. Hire a wet suit and spend the whole afternoon there
- St Petrocs Bistro in Padstow – This is the best meal we had on this trip (it’s owned by Rick Stein)
- Bath – We absolutely loved exploring this beautiful small city and can’t wait to return
- Lj Hugs – Amazing street food on Bath’s high street specialising in Cajun chicken, chili and salad
- Bradford-on-Avon – A smaller version of Bath (i.e – stunning!). Well worth a day exploring
- Freshford – This little village turned out to be one the most beautiful villages we’ve ever visited in England. There’s a few accommodation options on Airbnb making it a great location to explore the area.
