Top 3 Hotels For Remote Working

I’ve been doing this digital nomad thing for 18 years and have worked from well over 500 hotels during this time. Here are my top 3 hotels for remote working at 3 different price points:

V Hotel: Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand ($25/n). Awesome hotel where the wifi is fast and reliable and the beds are super comfortable. They will give you an office chair if you ask nicely. There’s a park next door for exercise. Saloon coffee is down the road where the coffee is excellent and is a good option for working. If you’re busy working at the hotel, order in the burritos (about $5) from Outside Inn which are delicious.

Double View Mansions: Bali, Indonesia ($60/n). This is a hotel that’s been specifically designed for digital nomads and they’ve nailed it. There’s fast wifi, a co-working space on site, a gym/pool and a restaurant that serves healthy food and good drinks. The rooms have kitchenettes for making coffee and eggs in the morning. The beds are huge with quality linen. There is daily cleaning service and the staff are super duper friendly.

Shangri-La: Colombo, Sri Lanka ($200/n). This is the hotel for when you want to remove all distractions from your day to day life to just think, exercise and focus on work. The rooms are very comfortable, and the gym and pool are both outstanding. The service is some of the best I’ve ever experienced anywhere. There’s an awesome bar for relaxing during the evenings and the hotel is connected to a mall with a supermarket and cinema. This hotel in would easily cost $1-2k/n in Europe.

Other hotels I really enjoy remote working from include Centre Point Apartments Thonglor in Bangkok ($35/n) and Park Hyatt in Saigon ($200/n).
